The Voice Australia’s most successful winner in four years, Judah Kelly, will be a special guest performer at this year’s Dementia Australia annual fundraising gala dinner, A Night to Remember.
Judah will bring his country with soul style to the gala, with performances including his number one iTunes charting single Count On Me to help raise awareness of the role that carers play in looking after people with dementia.
Judah is a seasoned performer with many notable accomplishments. He appeared on the Queensland Country Music Festival Circuit; was the Champion of Champions overall winner in 2010, 2013 and 2014; Trans-Tasman entertainer of the year runner-up; and scholarship awarded graduate from the Australian Academy of Country Music.
The evening will be hosted by Network Ten’s Natarsha Belling, who will be joined by a host of celebrity guests for music, entertainment, live auctions, drinks and three courses of delectable fine dining.
The event will feature auctions of a wide variety of goods, including several exclusive holiday packages and money-can’t-buy experiences.
This year, all money raised will go towards funding a new program ‘Better Life for Carers’, which aims to increase the ability of carers to focus on their own health and wellbeing through enhancing self-care skills, and improving optimism and resilience.
Dementia Australia Executive Director, Client Services & Education Susan McCarthy said the organisation was delighted to once again be hosting the popular event.
“A Night to Remember promises to be a fun evening for all involved, and provides a wonderful opportunity to come together, shed light on an important issue, and raise money to support carers and the vital role they play in the lives of people living with dementia in our community,” she said.
A Night to Remember will be held at Sydney’s prestigious Le Montage, on Thursday 22 February 2018, in partnership with Navarra Venues.
