Big research companies band together to fight Alzheimer’s disease

Ten major biopharmaceutical companies will join forces with America’s National Institute of Health and several non-profit organisations to speed-up the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

The partnership will see $230m (US) invested over five years for the first projects, with the data and analyses generated to be made publicly available to the broader biomedical community.
