Calls to fund Australia’s bid to develop world-first bionic brain

An Academy of Science led think-tank has called for $250 million over 10 years to fund  research centre that would see Australian researchers come together to help develop the world’s first bionic brain.

The development of a bionic brain, which was reported by SBS, would have applications for the prevention and treatment of mental illness and brain injury.
