" The fact that you have dementia, doesn't mean you stop living - Associate Professor Lee-Fay Low "
The Brains Behind Dementia Research – Associate Professor Lee-Fay Low

Associate Professor in Ageing and Health at the University of Sydney Faculty of Health Sciences Dr Lee-Fay Low recently sat down with Dementia News and spoke about her career as a researcher, her current research and where dementia care research is heading.

Dr Low said while much of the current dementia research focuses on medical treatments and preventing dementia – all of which are important, it is also important to look at how we look after people who are living with dementia and improve their lives.

Watch Dr Low’s interview with Dementia News below to hear about how her research with dancing classes and intergenerational visits to aged care homes is helping to improve cognition, quality of life and wellbeing for older people with dementia.
