The emotion involved in caring for a parent with Younger Onset Dementia

People with Younger Onset Dementia will often require care and support from their immediate family during the course of the disease. For those who have children, often these children will be involved in providing care.

A recent Australian study published in the journal Dementia has looked into the emotional well-being of young people who are caring for a parent with Younger Onset Dementia and the impact it may have on their lives. Dementia News spoke with Karen Hutchinson, Research Masters student and lead author on the paper who is based at the NHMRC Cognitive Decline Partnership Centre at the University of Sydney to find out more about the study. You can read all about it here.
